Opening Ceremony Successfully Held for the 2026 Cohort of the China-UK Joint Master's Programme in Programme and Project Management between Beijing City University and the University of Warwick

On July 4, the opening ceremony for the 2026 cohort of the China-UK joint Master's Programme in Programme and Project Management (PPM) between Beijing City University (BCU) and the University of Warwick was held at the Zhongguancun Campus. The event was attended by Dr. Dawei Lu, International Academic Director at WMG, the University of Warwick; Zhang Xinyuan, Director of the Warwick Office at BCU; Gong Qiutong and Liu Yi from the Warwick Office; and all new students of Beijing Cohort 10.

During the ceremony, Dr. Dawei Lu provided a comprehensive introduction to the University of Warwick and the Master's Programme in PPM curriculum. He also offered professional guidance on core academic aspects, including academic integrity and thesis writing, laying a solid foundation for the students' future academic pursuits. Zhang Xinyuan warmly reviewed the development and fruitful achievements of the cooperative programme between BCU and the University of Warwick, extending her heartfelt congratulations to the newly admitted students. She encouraged them to cherish this learning opportunity, immerse themselves in the programme, and effectively translate their academic achievements into a strong driving force for their personal career development.

In the experience-sharing session, Kuang Bin, an outstanding graduate from the Class of 2024, drew upon his own experience to vividly showcase the remarkable achievements of program alumni in both academia and the workplace, setting an inspiring example for the new students. Yang Peng, the representative of Beijing Cohort 10, subsequently delivered a speech expressing his excitement and pride in joining the programme. He expressed his hope to comprehensively enhance his competitiveness in the digital and intelligent era through systematic learning. During the following interactive session, the new students actively shared their thoughts, expressing their strong aspirations for professional transformation through the programme and their eager anticipation for the upcoming academic journey.

Against a warm and harmonious atmosphere, the opening ceremony concluded successfully. This ceremony not only marked the official commencement of a new academic journey for the Beijing Cohort 10 students under the joint cultivation of the University of Warwick and BCU, but also set the stage for the future. Moving forward, students will leverage the programme's premium international educational resources and extensive practical platforms to navigate the wave of the digital and intelligent era, and write their own brilliant chapters!
