On May 25, Prof. Nicole Graf, President of Duale Hochschule Baden-Württemberg Heilbronn, was invited by the Shunyi District Government and accompanied by Mr.Tang Long, Deputy Mayor of Yang Town, Shunyi District, to pay a friendly visit to Beijing City University (BCU). Pro.Ye Yingfang, Vice Chair of University Council of BCU, on behalf of the university, extended a warm welcome to the distinguished German guests and accompanied them throughout the visit. The two sides conducted in-depth and productive discussions on core issues such as deepening inter-university cooperation and promoting the cultivation of internationalized application-oriented talents.
Accompanied by representatives of BCU, the delegation first visited the School of Arts and Design of BCU. Through the on-site tour, President Graf gained an in-depth understanding of BCU’s fruitful achievements in the deep integration of industry and education, and highly appreciated the innovative and artistically appealing works of the faculty and students. Subsequently, the delegation observed a class of the Digital Media Art program jointly offered by BCU and the Media Design University of Applied Sciences (Berlin), and spoke highly of BCU’s model of introducing high-quality international educational resources and conducting high-level Sino-foreign cooperative education.

Then, the delegation visited the Interdisciplinary Research Innovation Center of BCU, touring joint labs such as “AI+Traditional Chinese Medicine”, “AI+Healthcare and Information Technology”, and “AI+Urban Conservation and Urban Governance”. Through in-depth conversations with frontline researchers, the German representatives fully appreciated BCU’s strong capabilities and cutting-edge explorations in industry-university-research collaborative innovation, showing great interest in BCU’s research achievements in empowering multi-field development with artificial intelligence technology.

During the subsequent discussion session, the two universities briefly introduced their respective histories, disciplinary characteristics, and development plans. After friendly consultations, the two sides reached several important consensuses and agreed to actively establish a platform for regular faculty and student exchange and cooperation, jointly opening up new prospects for mutually beneficial international educational cooperation.


As an invited guest of the Beijing China-Germany Industrial Cooperation and Development Forum - 2026 China-Germany (Europe) Hidden Champions Forum, President Graf attended the forum’s opening ceremony and the Yanjing Culture Night on the evening of May 25, and was received by leaders of the Shunyi District Government.
