On April 29, a three-member delegation from Russian Griboyedov University, led by Nikolay Vadimovich Korolev, Vice-Rector for Strategic Communications and BRICS Cooperation, visited Beijing City University(BCU). Ye Yingfang, Vice Chair of University Council of BCU, represented the university in the meeting.
The meeting kicked off with both sides sharing an overview of their institutional histories, academic strengths, and achievements in international education. On behalf of BCU, Ye Yingfang extended a warm welcome to the visiting delegation. She highlighted BCU’s strong commitment to global engagement, noting its established partnerships with universities across more than 20 countries and regions. These collaborations span student and faculty exchanges, joint program development, degree articulation pathways, and Confucius Institutes. In response, Vice-Rector Nikolay Vadimovich Korolev expressed his sincere appreciation for the hospitality. He provided a detailed introduction to Griboyedov University’s institutional profile and disciplinary advantages, emphasizing the university’s keen interest in fostering cooperation with China.

Both sides agreed that the two universities share strong commonalities in disciplinary development, student and faculty exchanges, and academic collaboration, indicating a solid foundation and broad prospects for cooperation. They exchanged views on jointly organizing Sino-Russian youth cultural exchange activities and launching short-term study programs for Russian students in China, reaching preliminary consensus.
The visit enhanced mutual understanding between the two universities and laid a good foundation for substantive cooperation in the future. Both sides expressed their commitment to maintaining close communication, actively advancing the implementation of cooperation intentions, and making new contributions to educational and cultural exchanges between China and Russia.
