BCU Faculties Achieve Outstanding Results in the 5th Beijing University Teachers' Teaching Innovation Competition

Recently, the Beijing Municipal Education Commission announced the list of winners for the 5th Beijing University Teachers' Teaching Innovation Competition. All seven teams recommended by our university were awarded, with the results as follows:

Organized by the Higher Education Division of the Beijing Municipal Education Commission, this competition was themed around "Promoting Teaching Innovation and Cultivating First-Class Talent”. The competition aimed to thoroughly implement the spirit of the National Education Congress, further advance the construction of a strong education system and the high-quality development of higher education, and set a benchmark for teaching reform in universities.  

After preliminary selections at various universities, a total of 395 individual teachers or teaching teams entered the city-level competition. Following expert evaluations and final review by the competition committee, 27 first prizes, 50 second prizes, 82 third prizes, and 118 excellence awards were granted, with the approval by the Beijing Municipal Education Commission.

In recent years, our university has placed great emphasis on fostering innovation and reform among faculty members. Adhering the principle of “enhancing and strengthening teaching through competition", the university has actively promoted educational and teaching reforms, strengthened the development of a high-quality teaching workforce, and produced a series of exemplary outcomes in pedagogical innovation.

Moving forward, the university will continue to leverage the leading role of the Teaching Innovation Competition, accelerate the integration of artificial intelligence into teaching and learning processes, and encourage faculty to continuously update their educational concepts, innovate teaching models, and enhance their pedagogical capabilities, comprehensively improving the quality of talent cultivation.
