On July 1, Beijing City University signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Qian Technology Group at the conference center in the Shunyi campus. The ceremony was attended by Qian Technology Group's chairman Qi Xiangdong, vice president Huang Xiang, Beijing division vice general manager Jing Fanzhou, Beijing division client manager Liu Tengfei, BCU president Liu Lin, vice presidents Hu Liqin and Yuan Jia, and relevant school heads.
BCU President Liu Lin welcomed the delegation and expressed his vision for the cooperation, hoping that the two sides could work together on various aspects such as network security talent cultivation, campus network security protection, and network security research projects. He expressed his expectations for the future cooperation to drive the integration of production and education in the field of network security and contribute to the cultivation of high-quality and practical network security talents.
Qi Xiangdong, expressed his hope to deepen cooperation with Beijing City University in the field of network education, and that the company would use its long-term accumulated practical security capabilities, products, and service systems to work together with the school to achieve three dual improvements in innovation, talent construction, and security services, and output more high-quality and professional network security talents for the country's network security and new productivity development.
After the ceremony, President Liu Lin and Qi Xiangdong signed the strategic cooperation agreement on behalf of both parties. According to the agreement, the two sides will cooperate on various aspects such as research projects, talent cultivation, academic exchange, branch construction, and campus construction.
After the signing ceremony, Mr.Qi toured the first floor exhibition hall of the School of Information Techonology and the School of Fine Arts and Crafts and the Center for Digital Research on Cultural Relics .
Qian Technology Group was founded in 2014 and specializes in the cyber security market. Their in-house security framework has received the World Leading Technology Achievement Award, and has been recognized as Beijing's first batch of Invisible Champions enterprise. The company successfully fulfilled the cybersecurity obligations for the Beijing Winter Olympics and Winter Paralympics. The company emphasizes industry-education integration and is the only network security enterprise in Beijing listed by the CPC Central Committee's Organization Department as a key enterprise for cultivating outstanding engineers. It is also included in the first batch of data security human resources training bases by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and has cooperated with multiple universities to cultivate data security specialists for the telecommunications and Internet industries.

Beijing City University Holds 2024 Graduation Ceremony and Conferral of Degrees
On July 6, the 2024 Graduation Ceremony and Conferral of Degrees of Beijing City University was held at the National Convention Center. The ceremony was attended by university leaders, heads of various faculties and relevant departments, teacher and advisor representatives, alumni representatives, parents of graduates, and thousands of graduating students from the Class of 2024.
At the celebration, teachers and students performed a series of songs and acts, including The Wind Rises, Brave Alone, Friends Like Me,"To the Clouds,Journey,The Future is Mine, and Fly Happily Forward. Each melody expressed heartfelt farewells and good wishes for the graduating class of 2024. Zhang Jun, representing the undergraduate students from the School of Economics and Management, and Yuan Xiaojun, representing the graduate students from the Department of Radio and Television Directing, delivered speeches on behalf of their respective groups. They expressed their blessings for the alma mater and their fellow graduates, vowing to write a glorious chapter of youth that does not disappoint the times with their youthful vigor.
During the graduation ceremony, President Liu Lin led the graduates in reflecting on the forty-year journey of Beijing City University, characterized by reform exploration, diligent advancement, arduous entrepreneurship, and pioneering progress. He urged the graduates to draw further spiritual strength from the school's history and culture. During the event, several activities were conducted including the awarding of Outstanding Graduate and Graduates Serving National Strategies, the issuance of the 2024 Alumni Liaison appointments, a flower tribute in gratitude, degree conferral ceremonies, and a photo session with the principal.
