On September 12, the Confucius Institute at the University of Guadalajara attended the opening ceremony of the School of Economics and Management of the University of Guadalajara (CUCEA) at the invitation of the Student Activity Department of the University. The Chinese Director Wei Shuhua, Zhang Hao and Li Xueming, Leaders from the International Affairs Office of the School of Economics and Management and the Student Activity Department of the University, together with 60 freshmen representatives, attended the opening ceremony.

In his speech, Head of the International Affairs Office of the School of Economics and Management expressed his gratitude to the representatives of the Confucius Institute for attending the activity, expressing the importance of language and culture exchange in international communication, especially the significance of learning Chinese in the current era.

At the opening ceremony, Li Xueming, teacher from the Confucius Institute, starts performing with a beautiful Chinese classical dance "Ming Yue Ji Shi You". The elegant dance posture and the unique Chinese artistic conception were fascinating. Zhang Hao gave a lecture on Tai Chi culture to the teachers and students at present. He explained the concept of Yin and Yang in Tai Chi culture in a simple way, which made the students present have a deeper understanding of this ancient culture. At the end of the lecture, Zhang Hao also interacted with all the students,with warm response there.

Through this event, the teachers and students of the Confucius Institute and the School of Guadalajara Economics and Management have established a closer connection in cultural exchange, and also added a strong Chinese cultural atmosphere to the opening ceremony of the School. The delegation of BCU visited the School of Economics and Management in January 2023. This year, a student of the School won the scholarship of the Confucius Institute and went to China to attend the 15-week Chinese language program.
