Students from the School of Performing Arts Achieve Excellent Results in Exchange of Performance of Chinese Classic Recitations Between University Students form Mainland, Hong Kong and Macao

In July, Exchange of Performance of Chinese Classic Recitations Between University Students form Mainland, Hong Kong and Macao concluded successfully. Yuan Zhendong, a Broadcasting and Hosting Arts major from our university's School of Performing Arts, achieved outstanding results with his recitation of Chi Bi Fu (Red Cliff Ode), winning the Excellent Work Recitation Award. The work was jointly guided by Ma Ruoning, Head of the Broadcasting major in the School of Performing Arts, and teacher Yu Jia.

This event was guided by the Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs Office of the Ministry of Education and the Language Education Department of the Ministry of Education, and jointly hosted by Jiangsu Normal University, Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and the University of Macau. It aims to promote excellent traditional Chinese culture, enhance the language application abilities of young university students, and foster cultural exchange and emotional integration between Hong Kong, Macao, and mainland youth. It has been successfully held for several sessions since 2021. In this event, a total of 356 works were received from nearly 100 universities, including Hong Kong Polytechnic University, the University of Macau, Jiangsu Normal University, Communication University of China, Beijing Film Academy, and Shanghai Theatre Academy. Finally, 30 works from 19 universities entered the performance stage.

The Broadcasting and Hosting Arts major will always actively organize students to participate in academic competitions. Through the approach of promoting learning through competition, students will delve deeper into the course content and solidly promote curriculum development.
