On April 11th, a delegation led by President Kang Seong-jong of Shinhan University in South Korea visited BCU. Pro.Ye Yingfang, Vice Chair of University Council of BCU warmly welcomed the delegation. Relevant heads of the School of Management, School of Education, and International Affairs Office participated in the reception.
Pro.Ye warmly welcomed the delegation from Shinhan University, introduced the development history, discipline status, and internationalization development strategy of BCU, reviewed the history of international cooperation with Korean universities and the achievements in the field of international exchanges. She expressed the hope that the two universities would establish a close cooperative relationship, achieve mutual integration and promotion, and achieve creative development and achievements in talent cultivation and scientific research.
President Kang Seong-jong expressed gratitude for the warm reception of BCU, and introduced Shinhan University in South Korea. Shinhan University is a comprehensive university that offers bachelor，master and doctoral degrees, attaching great importance to internationalization development and cooperation with Chinese universities. He hopes that through this visit, the two universities will deepen their understanding, strengthen international cooperation in relevant fields, and jointly cultivate more high-end technical talents with an international perspective.
The two sides had in-depth discussions on undergraduate education, postgraduate programs for master and doctoral degrees, and student exchange activities, and reached a consensus on further deepening inter-school international cooperation in areas such as academic research in education and management, and teacher exchange and training.
Pro.Ye Yingfang and President Kang Seong-jong, representing the two universities respectively, officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding between Beijing City University and Shinhan University. During the visit, the delegation visited the Shunyi Campus and the Training Center of School of Education.
