On September 14 and 15, a delegation from the University of Warwick (UoW), UK, led by the UoW President, Prof. Stuart Croft, visited Beijing City University. BCU President, Prof. Liu Lin and Director of the Academic Committee of BCU, Prof. Guo Guangsheng held in-depth discussions with the delegation. Both sides warmly reviewed the 13-year history of friendly cooperation between BCU and Warwick Manufacturing Group (WMG), as well as the significant achievements accomplished. They also discussed plans to establish a closer collaborative framework in the future. Prof. Croft and his delegation toured BCU’s recent key research outcomes and visited several industry-academic cooperation partners of BCU, including Lenovo Group.

Separately, Yu Yingjie, Member of the Standing Committee of the Beijing Municipal Committee of the CPC and Secretary of the Municipal Education Work Committee; Ma Jun, Member of the Standing Committee of the Beijing Municipal Committee and Minister of the United Front Work Department; Vice Mayor Mu Peng; and Yang Dan, Director of the Department of International Cooperation and Exchange of the Ministry of Education, met with the University of Warwick delegation. They listened to presentations by Prof. Stuart Croft and Prof. Liu Lin, extended congratulations on the 60th anniversary of the University of Warwick, and expressed strong recognition and support for the ongoing and future collaboration between the University of Warwick and BCU.
