From 17 to 21 December, a delegation from Termez State University (TSU) of Uzbekistan visited our university. Prof. Ye Yingfang, the vice chair of the university council, warmly welcomed the delegation members. The delegation from TSU held cooperation discussions with the School of Economics and Management, the School of Arts and Design, and the School of Cultural Heritage under the arrangement of the International Affairs Office.
The delegation of TSU included the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Tourism, Professor Abduganiyev Otabek Allajonovich, the Director of the Faculty of National Dress, Embroidery and Textiles, Professor Toshbekov Odil Abdullayevich, the Head of the Department of Economics, Dr. Panjiev Khusniddin, the staff of the Department of International Exchange, Bozorov Shohabbos Abduvohid Ogli. The delegation visited the Shunyi and Hangtiancheng campuses and had deep collaborative discussion with the School of Economics and Management on teacher-student exchange programmes, with the School of Arts and Design on the co-organisation of an exhibition of China and Uzbekistan art and design works on the theme of the "B&R", and also reached preliminary cooperation intentions with School of Cultural Heritage on the establishment of the International Joint Research Center for Crafts and Cultural Heritage of China and Uzbekistan.
During the "China-Uzbekistan Hundred Universities Educational Cooperation Forum" hosted by the Ministry of Education in 2024, BCU has signed Memorandums of Understanding on cooperation with four Uzbek universities, including Termez State University. The cooperation with Uzbek universities is an important part of our international cooperation in response to the "B&R" initiative, and in 2024, we received six outstanding students from TSU to join our international student programmes such as summer camps and Chinese Language Training Class. The visit of the delegation of TSU has further strengthened the cooperation relationship between both universities, and will surely promote the more extensive, deeper, and higher-level collaboration between BCU and TSU in the future.
