BCU Postgraduate Won the First-class Award in the Film Collection for the Theme of Consolidating and Expanding the Achievements of Poverty Alleviation-Comprehensively Promoting Rural Revitalization

In September, under the guidance of the Policy and Regulation Department of the National Rural Revitalization Administration, sponsored by the National Poverty Alleviation Publicity and Education Center, and undertaken by CCTV, film collection and display for the theme of Consolidating and Expanding the Achievements of Poverty Alleviation- Comprehensively Promoting Rural Revitalization was successfully launched. Runner's Posture, designed by Yuan Xiaojun, a postgraduate of Radio and TV Directing of BCU, Class 2021, won the First-Class Work Award, who was guided by Prof. Xu Jin, an academic tutor of in Radio and TV Directing. The collection lasted more than two months and collected more than 20,000 works.

Runner's Posture tells the story of an 18-year-old young man Guo Pengpeng in a distant village of Shibi Town, Linfen city in Shanxi Province, who was deaf and crimple and diagnosed by doctors not living past 18. But he doesn’t succumb to fate and struggle with the disease tenaciously. He started his own businesses and sell local specialties to the whole country. Under Guo Pengpeng’s guidance, operation revenue of the village was over 230 ten thousand RMB, pulling 80 households out of poverty.

Yuan Xiaojun tells the revitalization story through the lens language, recording a paean of this era. And this work also enter Beijing (International) University Student Film Exhibition Half-summer Film Library sponsored by the Communication University of China.
