San Marino Confucius Institute Celebrates 10th Anniversary with a Series of Events – "Chinese Language Course" Joyfully Launched

In the golden autumn of October, the San Marino Confucius Institute officially launched its special course series titled "I Want to Learn Chinese", as part of its 10th anniversary celebration events.

The first class began on October 6 in a warm and lively atmosphere. Students not only learned basic greetings in Chinese but also shared their personal stories of how they became interested in the language and culture. Some were inspired by their daughters’ love for the movie Mulan; others had previously lived and worked in China and wished to rekindle their connection to the Chinese language; still others hoped to learn alongside their children, creating a shared journey of discovery and joy. Each story reflected deep curiosity and affection for Chinese language and culture.

A highlight of the course was the cultural experience session, during which participants formed a circle, practicing newly learned Chinese syllables while enjoying jianzi—a traditional Chinese shuttlecock-kicking game. As the colorful jianzi soared through the air, laughter filled the room and the classroom atmosphere reached its peak. Through joyful interaction, students grew closer to one another, allowing language and culture to blend naturally.

Over the past decade, the San Marino Confucius Institute has been committed to promoting Chinese language education and cultural exchange, becoming a vital bridge between China and San Marino. In the years ahead, CI will continue to expand this bridge through diverse courses and engaging activities, helping more local people discover China, understand its culture, and fall in love with the Chinese language. The HSK Level 1 beginner course kicked off first, with the HSK Level 3 course set to launch next Monday.
