On September 18, 2025, the autumn-winter Tai Chi Health program officially began in Murata. This term’s course has been systematically upgraded with an enhanced curriculum that now includes “standing post” (Zhuang Gong) training as a core component. Through systematic instruction and practice of both static and dynamic post-standing exercises, the program aims to help participants build a solid foundation in Qigong, cultivating inner balance and deepening their connection to Chinese culture.

The inclusion of Qigong in the curriculum aligns with the newly revised Guidelines for the Construction and Management of Preventive Treatment of Diseases Departments in TCM Hospitals issued by China's National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2025. These guidelines explicitly include TCM Qigong within “preventive treatment of diseases” services for the first time, providing strong theoretical and practical support for the CI’s related courses.

The opening session welcomed a diverse group of participants, including returning students who have attended for two consecutive years, first-time learners, and local families enrolling together. Several experienced participants brought friends along, hoping to share the benefits of Tai Chi wellness, while others expressed plans to “follow in the footsteps of the Confucius Institute” by attending all courses offered across different locations to fully embrace the holistic benefits of Tai Chi. During the interactive session, several participants shared that starting with Zhan Zhuang allowed them to more directly feel the internal energy cultivated through Qigong, leading to a deeper understanding of Tai Chi.
Moving forward, San Marino Confucius Institute will continue to promote cultural exchange through traditional Chinese wellness practices. By offering high-quality, culturally rooted programs, the CI remains committed to advancing the global appreciation and development of China’s rich traditional culture.
