School leaders then engaged in in-depth discussions on the institute's future developments. San Marino University expressed the wishes to help Chinese students better understand Italian language and culture, while Beijing City University voiced support for joint research projects among professors. Both sides reached consensus on mutual visits between leadership teams and student exchange programs, collaborative academic research, and co-hosting cultural activities for student groups.

The meeting took place at the historic and picturesque main campus of San Marino University, which was marked by a warm and friendly atmosphere. After the talks, both parties exchanged gifts symbolizing the cultural integration between China and San Marino, signifying a new beginning and a fresh stage in the development of the Confucius Institute.
