On May 22nd, the Confucius Institute at the University of Guadalajara was invited to perform at the opening ceremony of the University's World Language Conference. Leveraging this platform, the Institute launched a series of cultural activities themed around the Dragon Boat Festival, showcasing its achievements in promoting language education and cultural exchanges.

The Dragon Boat Festival cultural activities mainly included performances of traditional Chinese dance, paper-cutting, calligraphy, colored-bracelets-knotting, and sachet-making. There was also an exhibition on education and culture communication, which provided a comprehensive introduction to the Institute’s language and cultural programs, including the "Chinese Bridge" language competition, the annual summer camp held at Beijing City University, scholarship programs for intensive Chinese courses, as well as various local Chinese language courses.

This event drew representatives from teachers, students, and education officials from multiple schools across Mexico, who stopped by for inquiries and hands-on participation. With the Dragon Boat Festival approaching, the Confucius Institute not only raised awareness of this traditional Chinese festival among broader audiences but also allowed participants from diverse cultural backgrounds to deeply experience the richness of China's traditional culture and festivals. Simultaneously, it showcased the institute's dedicated efforts to foster cultural exchange between China and Mexico. Whether it was a dance, a piece of paper-cutting, a moment holding a brush, or a colorful thread, each interaction represented a heartfelt connection and cultural convergence.

Moving forward, the Confucius Institute at the University of Guadalajara will continue to build upon language teaching and cultural activities to further promote Sino-Mexican cultural exchanges, building broader bridges to enhance friendship between the peoples of both nations.
