On January 20, 2025, Teodoro Lonfernini, the Secretary of State, Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of San Marino, visited the San Marino Confucius Institute. Laura Gobbi, Executive President of the University of San Marino, Barbara Terenzi, Chairman of the San Marino China Friendship Association, and the Confucius Institute’s Chinese and Local directors, along with several foreign council members accompanied the visit and reported on the CI’s work.

During the visit, Minister Lonfernini noted that this was his first opportunity to observe how the CI has enriched local cultural and social life, and expressed his approval for the CI’s language education programs and cultural activities in San Marino and the neighboring Italian cities of Rimini. Notably, Lonfernini showed particular interest in the CI’s summer camp program and engaged enthusiastically with discussions about traditional Chinese pastries and their cultural significance.
