On December 27th, the 2023 Chinese Bridge Winter Camp of the Confucius Institute at the University of San Marino officially opened at BCU. Pro.Ye Yingfang, Vice Chair of University Council, along with teachers from the International Affairs Office and the School of International Culture and Communication, attended the opening ceremony. It aims to promote exchanges between Chinese and young students from San Marino, Italy, and surrounding European countries, deepen European students' understanding of Chinese language and culture, and inspire their enthusiasm for learning Chinese.
Along with the first snowfall in Beijing, Hangtiancheng Campus of BCU welcomed 20 excellent students from Confucius Institute at the University of San Marino. They met in BCU through the Chinese Bridge Winter Camp and will start a two-week study trip to Beijing.
Pro.Ye Yingfang warmly welcomed the students on behalf of BCU and wished them a fulfilling journey in Beijing, hoping that they would gain valuable knowledge and experiences during the winter camp. Pro.Zhang Xinyuan, Deputy Director of the School of International Culture and Communication, and Pro.Guo Rui, Director of the English Department, hoped everyone could make new friends during the winter camp, engage in active communication, interact with local students, and progress together, fully experiencing the profound culture contained within the city of Beijing.
This winter camp consists of Chinese language learning, cultural experiences, visits and exchanges between Chinese and foreign youth. It allows students to learn Chinese and understand Chinese culture, as well as gain insights into traditional Chinese customs unique to the winter season. Through cultural visits, they will have the opportunity to deeply understand Beijing, the capital city, and gain a multi-dimensional understanding of its colorful culture and the rapid development of China.
