Recently, the Confucius Institute at the University of San Marino held a tea party to summarize the Chinese Bridge winter camp project. Pro.Guo Xiaoxia, the Chinese Director of the Confucius Institute, the volunteer team, accompanying Italian teachers, and high school students from San Marino and Italy who participated in this winter camp attended together.
During the winter camp, volunteer leader Ms.Zhang Zijia led the participants in reviewing the rich cultural activities of the winter camp, reporting on the feedback from participants, and commending students who performed excellently during the winter camp activities. The accompanying Italian teachers and student representatives expressed their gratitude to Beijing City University and the Confucius Institute at the University of San Marino.
In her speech, Pro.Guo praised the students for their open attitude and international perspective in understanding China and learning Chinese. She encouraged them to look to the future, study in China, and join the world in understanding China.
This winter camp activity has had a positive ripple effect on high schools in San Marino and the Rimini region of Italy. The number of students enrolling in Chinese classes at San Marino High School has doubled compared to the previous year, and the Confucius Institute at the University of San Marino has also established a new partnership with a high school in the Rimini region.
