The joint-construction signing ceremony of The Cultural Exchange Center jointly established by Embassy of Tajikistan to China and BCU was successfully held on the morning of November 27th 2019. The University Party Secretary and also the President of BCU Mr. Liu Lin and Tajik Ambassador in Beijing Mr Parviz Davlatzoda jointly signed a memorandum of understanding for the joint-construction. Vice Headmaster Mr Wen Zongyong, Counsellor Mr Suzerna, the First Secretary Mr Egamuzoda, and also directors of related schools and departments, teacher representatives, as well as all diplomatic staff of Tajikistan’s Embassy in Beijing, attended the signing ceremony.
On the signing ceremony, President Liu pointed out in his speech that making preparations for building this Cultural Exchange Center actively implements the "Joint Statement on Further Deepening China-Tajikistan Comprehensive Strategic Partnership" signed by Chinese President Xi Jinping and his Tajik counterpart Emomali Rahmon when President Xi visited Tajik in June 2019. This practice is also one of the most important measures taken by BCU to serve the capital function of Beijing, the international communication center. Our university will further facilitate the study-abroad program of Belt and Road Initiative, in terms of enrollment quota expansion, Chinese herbal medicine resources development, traditional medicine development, ethnic dance, culture and art design with specific Chinese characteristics. We will also promote the cooperation with colleges, medical institutions and cultural institutions in Tajikistan, making the Culture Center be a crucial platform for China-Tajik exchanges on education, culture and technology. Ambassador Davlatzoda expresses his sincere thanks to President Liu, faculty and students in BCU for their efforts in boosting China-Tajik friendly exchanges. He stresses that education cooperation and cultural exchanges is the top priority which ties China-Tajik people's heart. From now on, this Cultural Exchange Center will bring more Tajikistan culture to China, so that more Chinese people will feel the Tajik culture more closely and people of Tajikistan in China will know more about Chinese culture. Ambassador Davlatzoda also hopes that BCU will further expand cooperation in the educational aspect with colleges in Tajikistan and bring advantage education resources to Tajikistan, facilitating its education development.
After the signing ceremony, Ambassador Davlatzoda and his group visited BCU Shunyi Campus and he highly praised our university for educational achievements. And he also reached a new common sense with our university on boosting cooperation on education, science and technology, and culture.
