On December 11th, the 2023 “Chinese Bridge” Winter Camp of Confucius Institute of the University of Guadalajara was officially opened in BCU. Prof. Ye Yingfang, Vice Chair of University Council, Prof. Wei Shuhua, Chinese Director of the Confucius Institute of the University of Guadalajara, and relevant teachers from School of International Culture and Communication and International Affairs Office attended the opening ceremony.
Along with the first snowfall in Beijing, Hangtiancheng Campus of BCU welcomed 20 excellent students from Confucius Institute of the University of Guadalajara, Mexico. They met in BCU through the "Chinese Bridge" Winter Camp and will start a two-week study trip to Beijing.
Prof. Ye Yingfang welcomed the participants and pointed out that BCU attaches great importance to international exchanges and cooperation, and in the work of international Chinese education, BCU has established two Confucius Institutes in Mexico and San Marino, featuring business and traditional Chinese medicine respectively, have played a good role as a bridge for the local understanding of China and Chinese culture. She wished the participants to have a fulfilling trip to Beijing, and to learn specific knowledge from the winter camp.
The winter camp consists of Chinese language learning, cultural engagement, study tours and cultural exchange activities between Chinese and foreign youths, aiming at promoting interactions between Chinese and Mexican young students, and deepening Mexican students' understanding of Chinese language and culture.
