Recently, the results of the 3rd BEAUTIFUL CHINA Innovative Design competition for Graduate Students were officially announced. Our university’s graduate teams submitted a total of 23 entries across five major competition categories: Media Communication Design, Fashion & Apparel Design, Environmental Space Design, Industrial Product Design, and more. Among the 7,339 national submissions, five of our works stood out, securing one National Second Prize and four National Third Prizes. These achievements vividly demonstrate the solid professional competence and exceptional innovative capabilities of our students, as well as the remarkable outcomes of our institution’s educational mission. The BEAUTIFUL CHINA Innovative Design competition for Graduate Students is a national and non-profit innovation design event for graduate students, guided by the Department of Degree Management and Graduate Education of the Ministry of Education, and jointly organized by the The Chinese Society of Academic Degrees and Graduate Education and the China Youth and Science Center. All award-winning entries underwent rigorous evaluation by the Competition’s Expert Committee and final approval by the Organizing Committee. The judging process adhered to strict principles, including conflict-of-interest avoidance (experts recusing themselves from evaluating entries from their own institutions) and multi-reviewer assessment (each entry being evaluated by at least three experts). Final scores were determined based on average ratings, with entries ranked within their respective categories.
Looking ahead, our Graduate School will continue to coordinate participation in various discipline-specific competitions and innovation platforms, deepen practice-oriented education, and leverage competitions as a key driver to enhance the quality of graduate education. Our university remains committed to aligning talent development with national strategic priorities and industry needs, focusing on key areas to cultivate high-caliber, innovative, application-oriented professionals.
