Recently, at the 3rd "100 Masters in Campus" Achievement Exhibition and Outstanding Works Competition held in Wenzhou, Zhejiang Province, the work Polar Homeland by Professor Chen Qiurong from the School of Cultural Heritage at Bejing City University (BCU) stood out and was awarded the "Outstanding Creativity Prize."

This exhibition was organized by the China Light Industry Council. Its aims were to further promote the "100 Masters in Campus" initiative, advance the development of partner universities within the Chinese Master Artisans Inheritance and Innovation Base, and foster exchange and mutual learning among institutions specializing in arts and crafts. The large-scale exhibition brought together 236 works from teachers and students of 85 base universities nationwide, spanning nine categories of arts and crafts, including ceramics, metalwork, sculpture, and lacquerware, collectively showcasing the rich achievements in the inheritance and innovation of arts and crafts education in recent years.
The concurrent outstanding works competition was highly competitive, with awards presented in three categories: Creativity, Inheritance, and Design. Following evaluation by industry experts, 39 winning works were selected from all the exhibited pieces, comprising 18 in the Faculty Group and 21 in the Student Group. Professor Chen Qiurong's Polar Homeland received the "Outstanding Creativity Prize" in the Faculty Group selection, recognized for its unique conceptual creativity and exquisite technical execution. This award strongly reflects the active participation of the School of Cultural Heritage in the "100 Masters in Campus" activities and its solid advancement in the cultivation of talents and the work of inheritance and innovation in arts and crafts.
