Ms. Liang Yidan, a faculty member from the Communication Department of the School of International Culture and Communication at Beijing City University, was awarded the National First Prize in the Non-Themed Category (Fashion Design) and the Beijing Regional First Prize in the faculty group. Ms. Liang's award-winning work draws inspiration from the concept of "harmony" in traditional Chinese culture. Through contemporary design language, her creation revitalizes the vitality of traditional culture, emphasizing its inheritance and innovation.

The Milan Design Week Chinese Universities Design Discipline Exhibition is jointly organized by the China Education Association for International Exchange and the China Association of Higher Education. As one of China's high-level design competitions, it aims to provide a platform for faculty and students in art and design disciplines to showcase their professional talents and creative achievements, support the sharing and comparison of teaching outcomes between domestic and international institutions, and actively promote exchange and progress in higher art education in China.
This achievement highlights the success of BCU’s faculty development in the Communication program and fully affirms the university’s efforts in promoting the creative transformation and innovative development of outstanding traditional Chinese culture. Moving forward, BCU will continue to encourage faculty to integrate competitions into teaching, learning, and research, contributing to the establishment of a new paradigm for the international exchange of traditional Chinese culture.
