On April 23, the 33rd China International Electronic Production Equipment & Microelectronics Industrial Exhibition (NEPCON China 2025), hosted by the Center for International Economic and Technological Cooperation, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, opened in Shanghai. Professor Zhang Yongzhong from the School of Information Technology at our university was invited as a keynote speaker to present a thematic report titled “AI-Driven Advancements in Electronics Manufacturing” at the forum on Generative AI-enabled Intelligent Production and Big Data Manufacturing.

Taking the self-developed Huitong E-assembly Large Model from our university’s Intelligent Electronics Manufacturing Research Center as a case study, Professor Zhang provided an in-depth analysis of groundbreaking AI applications across three core domains: intelligent assistants, document understanding, and visual quality inspection. His presentation demonstrated how the integration of advanced technologies can facilitate the realization of “zero compromise on quality and another leap in efficiency” in smart manufacturing.

Additionally, Professor Zhang served as both a judge and award presenter for the inaugural AI Pioneer Transformation Award, recognizing and honoring distinguished organizations during the event.
