The International Affairs Office organized a tea culture lecture themed 'Enjoying Tea for Cultivation and Health' for foreign teachers of BCU.

On May 13, the International Affairs Office of BCU organized a tea culture lecture with the theme "Enjoying Tea for Cultivation and Health" for our foreign teachers. The event saw enthusiastic participation from international teachers hailing from countries including Germany, France, the United Kingdom, and Japan.

During the lecture, Ms. Lijian WANG and Ms. Elena Yankun CUI provided an in-depth introduction to the primary types of Chinese tea and their distinctive benefits to the foreign educators. By presenting lively demonstrations, they revealed the aesthetic charm of traditional Chinese tea ceremony. The foreign teachers present were able to personally experience the vastness and profundity of Chinese tea culture through engaging in activities like tea identification, tea tasting, and discussions on tea.

Steve, foreign teacher from the UK, commented that today’s lecture was incredibly fascinating and that Chinese tea culture had greatly intrigued him. Meanwhile, Johann, foreign teacher from Germany noted that prior to this, he had been unaware of the numerous benefits associated with tea, and after learning about them, he agreed that tea is indeed a wonderful beverage choice.

The event came to a successful close in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. Through this gathering, the International Affairs Office of BCU encouraged foreign teachers to cut down on high-sugar and high-calorie drinks and snacks, and to embrace a balanced lifestyle with time for both work and relaxation. This effort not only reflects a proactive response to the national call for health management, but also demonstrates an embrace of a healthier, lighter approach to life.
