On June 1st and 2nd, the 15th "FLTRP Cup" National College Foreign Language Teaching Competition (Beijing Division) was held at Beijing Institute of Technology. Zhao Jingna and Cao Miduo, two faculty members from the English Department in the School of International Culture and Communication, won second place in the English Major and Business English Major categories respectively in the competition of Beijing division.

The "FLTRP Cup" National College Foreign Language Teaching Competition is a nationwide event co-hosted by the Teaching Guidance Committee for Foreign Languages and Literature of Higher Education Institutions under the Ministry of Education, the Teaching Guidance Committee for College English Teaching of Higher Education Institutions under the Ministry of Education, and Shanghai Foreign Language Education Press. Its aim is to promote the development of foreign language teaching faculty in higher education institutions, enhance the quality of foreign language teaching, and foster professional growth among educators. For this competition, 12 teachers from universities such as Beijing Jiaotong University, Beijing Institute of Technology, the Diplomatic Academy, and Beijing Mining University entered the Beijing division semi-finals in the English Major category, while six teachers from universities such as Beijing Forestry University and Beijing Mining University participated in the Business English Major category semi-finals.

These awards demonstrate the proactive exploration and practical achievements of BCU’s faculty in educational reform. BCU will take this opportunity to further strengthen foreign language teaching and research, improve the overall quality of foreign language education, and cultivate more talents with international perspectives and exceptional foreign language abilities.
