Teachers from School of Performing Arts Won Award in the 7th Singapore Asian Dance Arts Festival

Dance performance major (International Standard Dance) received the award certificate of the 7th Singapore Asian Dance Festival in 2024. The work Fireworks has won the gold medal in the highest group of the Open group of the Asian Dance Competition and the gold medal for original drama creation. The award-winning teacher is Ms. Bai Xinlu, a professional external teacher of dance performance major (Sports Dance and Education) in School of Performing Arts, and the choreographer is Ms. Huang Jin from Beijing Dance Academy, and the instructor is Mr. Shi Qing, the Director of Dance Performance (International Standard Dance) of BCU.

 

Fireworks (flower fire), of which the flower is the symbol of life and beauty, and the fire is gorgeous and burning; the beautiful of fire lasts forever in the moment of fireworks blooming. With the help of the image of "flame", the dancers use the body to express the warmth, bloom and disappearance of the flame. The dancer's emotions rise and fall with the melody like the whole process of the fireworks.

 

Through this international competition, it has not only broadened the professional horizon of teachers, but also created a new platform for students to compete in the future.

Asia Dance Arts Festival (ADAF) was officially registered and certified by the Accounting & Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA) in 2016. Supported by the honor of the Embassy of China to Singapore and the Chinese Cultural Center, it is an international, authoritative and professional art festival. The competition has a wide variety of dances, including ethnic folk dance, classical dance, modern dance, street dance, classical ballet and modern ballet. In 2024, the Asian Dance Art Festival has entered its seventh year. Over the years, the Asian Dance Art Festival has attracted thousands of contestants from Singapore, China, Hong Kong (China), Japan, Russia, Malaysia, Indonesia, the United Kingdom, France, the United States, Canada and other countries to compete for various awards.
