BCU English Teachers Won the 15th SFLEP National Foreign Language Teaching Contest

On June 1st-2nd, the 15th SFLEP National Foreign Language Teaching Contest for Colleges and Universities (Beijing Competition) was held in Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT), and the English majors of the School of International Culture and Communication, Ms.Zhao Jingna and Ms.Cao Mido, won the second prize of the Beijing Competition in the English Major Group and the Business English Major Group, respectively.

SFLEP is a national event jointly sponsored by the National Advisery Committee on Teaching English Language to Majors in Higher Education under The Ministry of Education, the Foreign Languages Teaching Advisery Board under Ministry of Education, Shanghai Foreign Language Education Process, with the aim of promoting the construction of foreign language teachers in colleges and universities and the improvement of the quality of foreign language teaching and promoting the professional development of teachers. Twelve teachers from Beijing Jiaotong University, Beijing Institute of Technology, China Foreign Affairs University, China University of Mining and techonology Beijing and other colleges and universities entered the Beijing Competition for the English Major Group, while six teachers from Beijing Forestry University, China University of Mining and Techonology Beijing and other colleges and universities participated in the Competition for the Business English Major Group.

The award demonstrates the active exploration and practical effectiveness of our teachers in education and teaching reform. The university will take this as an opportunity to further strengthen foreign language teaching and research, improve the overall quality of foreign language teaching in the university, and cultivate more talents with an international outlook and excellent foreign language ability.
