On June 2nd, the 13th Beijing University Students' Architectural Structure Design Competition was held in Daxing Campus of Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture. Teachers and students majoring in Civil Engineering, Construction Cost, Architecture and Landscape Architecture of the School of Urban Construction actively participated in the competition and achieved good results.
Dream Building Team (team members: Yao Jincheng from Construction Cost of Class 2021, Li Ziyang from Civil Engineering of Class 2022, Chen Jiahui from Traditional Architecture of Class 2022, with instructor teachers:Mr.Li Zhaoguang and Mr.Sui Zhiqi) won the Third Prize of Group A for their work Model of Guangzhou Tower.
The work Petal Concentric (Team members: Wang Jiaqing from Construction Cost Class of 2021 ; Qian Shuo from Architecture of Class 2022; Liu Yang from Construction Cost Class of 2021; Sun Jialin from Construction Cost Class of 2021; Huang Yuxiang form Geosynthesis of of 2021; Zhao Boyang from Landscape Architecture of of 2021 ; with Instructor teachers: Ms.Liu Xiaoxi, Mr.Zhao Chunlei) was awarded the Second Prize in Group B (Structural Direction);
BCU Bridge Team (team members:Ding Zhiheng from Civil Engineering of Class 2021, 2022 Hao Zihang from Construction Cost of Class 2022, Su Chenyang from Civil Engineering of Class 2021, Deng Zhang Xuanyun from Architecture of Class 2022, Lyu Tianjian from Construction Cost of Class 2023, Chen Zexin from Construction Cost of Class 2023, with Instructors: Mr.Zhao Chunlei) won the Second Prize for their work on the Changhong Bridge in Group B (Bridge Direction).
Organised by the Beijing Municipal Commission of Education and hosted by Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture, the competition aims to cultivate the spirit of scientific and technological innovation and practical ability of undergraduates, to improve their scientific literacy and scientific research skills, and to enhance professional exchanges among undergraduates, so as to further improve the quality of undergraduate training and teaching.
