During the May Day holiday, the Chinese Medicine Workshop of the Confucius Institute of the University of San Marino was held as scheduled. With the support of School of Biomedicine of BCU, Shaolin Italian Zen Training Center and San Marino-China Friendship Association, the workshop was held successfully.

This year's workshop was divided into three workshops: “The Medical Connection between Stress and Oriental Qi”cultural lecture, as well as TCM and Beauty; Insomnia and Menstrual Problems; and Common Family Diseases, focusing on typical local health problems and trying to find solutions in TCM theory and practice. The Associate Professor, Chen Yuping, from School of Biomedicine, and Deputy Director, Chen Junyong, from the Shaolin Italian Zen Training Center taught TCM treatments such as acupressure, cupping and moxibustion through demonstration, practice and guidance, which instantly solved the problems of many patients. The workshop was well received by the local community and the people of Rimini, Italy, with more than 100 people attending the workshop.


The Confucius Institute of the University of San Marino is the first Confucius Institute of traditional Chinese Medicine in continental Europe and has always been committed to the dissemination of TCM culture. The annual Chinese medicine workshop has become a cultural brand of the Confucius Institute over the years, and it is also a tribute to the International Labor Day in a unique way.
