On December 10th, the final round of the 2023 National College Student Software Testing Competition was successfully held at Fudan University in Shanghai. Two students, Ms.Zhao Peiling and Ms.Guo Keying, guided by Mr.Cao Yuzhong, a teacher in the Software Engineering Department of the School of Information Technology, stood out in the WEB Personal Track with solid programming foundations, outstanding technical abilities, and stable performances. They achieved good results by winning third place in the national finals.

The National College Student Software Testing Competition is jointly organized by the Software Engineering Teaching Guidance Committee of the Ministry of Education, the China Computer Federation- Technical Committee of Software Engineering (CCF TCSE), the China Computer Federation- Technical Committee of Systems Software (CCF TCSS), the China Computer Federation- Technical Committee of Fault Tolerant Computing (CCF TCFTC),

and the Certification Board of Software Testing Competency (CBSTC). This year's competition attracted 10,518 participants from 487 universities in 29 provinces across the country.                    

The School adheres to the principle of promoting teaching through competition and integrating courses with competitions, promotes practical teaching reform, and improves the talent training path for integrating industry, education, and research. BCU students have won first place in the Beijing division and achieved good results in the national finals of the Competition for three consecutive years, fully demonstrating their capabilities in computer software development and software testing. It effectively enhances their practical abilities, broadens their industry horizons, and strengthens their confidence and enthusiasm, laying a solid foundation for their professional learning and career development.
