School of International Culture and Communication held an exchange meeting between Chinese and foreign teachers and students of the Animation (Japanese International Course) program

On December 12th, the School of International Culture and Communication of BCU and Kyoto College of Graduate Studies for Informatics (KCGI) jointly held an exchange meeting for Chinese and foreign teachers and students of the Animation (Japanese International Course) program for the 2023 academic year. The President of KCGI, Yoichi Terashita, Vice President Liu Fei, special guest Pro.Wu Ziyi and Pro.Xu Li of KCGI, Deputy Director of theSchool of International Culture and Communication of BCU, Pro.Wang Wenxiao, and related teachers attended the event.


Pro.Yoichi Terashita introduced the overview of KCGI and the master's program curriculum for the animation major. He hopes that the students will lay a solid foundation in their profession during university, participate in practical activities to accumulate experience, and plan their lives well. Pro.Liu Fei introduced specific information about the master's program in Animation in KCGI. He hopes that the students will improve their ability to analyze and solve problems, as well as their innovative abilities while improving their Japanese and animation skills.

The award ceremony for the 6th Beijing-Kyoto Cup Illustration Design Competition was also held on-site, and after preliminary and final rounds, outstanding awards, creative awards, guidance awards, and first, second, and third place awards were selected. Upon authorization from the Japanese judging committee, Pro.Wu Ziyi and Pro.Xu Li provided on-site comments on the winning works.

Since the establishment of friendly cooperation in 2012, BCU and KCGI have jointly cultivated a large number of outstanding students majoring in Animation. They have all successfully obtained bachelor's degrees from BCU and master's degrees from KCGI.
