On November 13,2023, Mexico time, 24 artists from Zhejiang Wu Opera Art Research Institute perform in the conjunto santander Theater of the University of Guadalajara for more than 1,700 audiences of Guadalajara City. Appointed by the Chinese Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the art team came to Mexico, Guyana and Ecuador for cultural exchanges. The Confucius Institute at Guadalajara not only provided the subtitle translation for the performance, but also sent three volunteer teachers to provide translation services such as drama affairs, field affairs and backstage technical support on the day of the performance.

The Wu Opera Troupe not only brought the traditional dragon dance performances, classic plays such as “San Cha Kou” "Lu Bu Shi Ma” and Suona and Huihu performance, but also brought the wonderful play “Sunwukong San Da Baigujing”. With the Spanish subtitles, the performance was a triumph. The charm of Chinese opera won warm applause from the audience for many times.
After the performance, the Confucius Institute and the Wu Opera Troupe had a meeting to celebrate the success. The troupe expressed their heartfelt thanks to the Confucius Institute and the expectation of strengthening the cultural exchanges between China and Mexico in the future. The Confucius Institute will continue promoting the cultural exchanges in Jalisco for the friendship between Chinese and Mexican.
