Students from the Confucius Institute at the University of Guadalajara won the winning prize of the 2023 Chinese Bridge Global Chinese Language Conference Calligraphy and Painting Competition

Recently, the 2023 Chinese Bridge Global Foreign Calligraphy and Painting Competition hosted by the Chinese Embassy in Mexico and organized by the Confucius Institute of Chihuahua Autonomous University has come to an end. On October 27,2023, Ms.Wei Shuhua and Pan Zhimei, the Chinese and Foreign Executive Directors of the Confucius Institute at the University of Guadalajara were invited to attend the award ceremony. Mr. Cao Hang, Administrative Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Mexico, Ms.Wu Xiaoyan, the Education Commissioner of the Chinese Embassy in Mexico, and relevant leaders of Chihuahua Autonomous University attended the award ceremony.

 

The Chinese Bridge Painting and Calligraphy Competition received a total of 27 painting and calligraphy works, and the Confucius Institute at the University of Guadalajara  organized students to actively participate in the competition. A total of 16 works were selected. After the selection of four professional judges at home and abroad and online voting, a total of 3 students were selected and won the winning prize.The three works of the award are Double Fish Play with Lotus, Eagle and Dragon and The Wedding Night. The theme is full of Chinese interest and the students use plenty of vivid expression techniques, showing the students' understanding of Chinese culture and art. As the newly established Confucius Institute in Mexico, the Confucius Institute at the University of Guadalajara takes an active part in various competitions, will continue to improve the teaching level of Chinese language and Chinese culture, and to make new achievements in the future .
