On September 25, Professor LIU Yannan from Communication University of China delivers a lecture with the theme of Audience analysis in the era of intelligent Convergent Media. Students of School of International Culture and Communication participated.

The lecture includes three main sections, “Background of Media Convergence”, “Three modes of Content Delivery”, and “Change of the Audience and Post-Audience”. Prof. LIU Yannan starts from the very first year of the media convergence in 2014, sharing her own working experience, interpretation the change of the Media Ecology, introducing the difference of traditional delivery and intelligent delivery, and showing the audience the definition of the newly created term “Post-Audience”. With the case sharing, she explained the constant changes in the media world in the digital age.She mentioned that the media convergence depends not only on the supportive policies but also on the journalists and other communicators paying more attentions to the audiences’ demand.
The lecture aroused warm discussion among the students. In the background of omnimedia communication era, students need to think how to take the advantage of the new era and new technology, and how to present a vivid, intelligent and fast-developed China to the world.
