Successful Conclusion of the 2023 China-Japan Animation Workshop

From July 12th to 21st, the 2023 China-Japan Animation Workshop organized by the School of International Culture and Communication (SICC) was successfully held in Japan. The workshop was led by Pro.Wang Wenxiao, Deputy Director of SICC, with a total of 14 students and teachers from the Animation (Japanese Language International Program) major participating in the event.

During their stay in Kyoto, the students and teachers received warm hospitality from Pro.Terashita Yoko, the President of Kyoto College of Graduate Studies for Informatics. They visited different campuses of the institute, including laboratories, libraries, and broadcasting studios, and experienced blended online and offline teaching methods. During the cultural exploration session of the workshop, they also visited famous cultural heritage sites in Kyoto, such as Kinkaku-ji (Golden Pavilion) and Nijo Castle, and conducted creative inspiration activities.

The China-Japan Animation Workshop also organized visits to well-known architectural and art museums in Tokyo and Osaka. The workshop deepened the understanding and comprehension of animation creation concepts at Kyoto College of Graduate Studies for Informatics among the students and teachers of the Animation (Japanese Language International Program) at our university. It strengthened the friendship between the two universities and enhanced students' international understanding capabilities.
