On the morning of June 8th, Pro.Rob Carthy, Director of International Development at the Northumbria University, and related teachers visited BCU, where they were received by Dr.Zhang Xinyuan, Deputy Director of School of International Culture and Communication, and Ms.Li Xuemeng, Deputy Director of the International Affairs Office.
The delegation from Northumbria University visited the multimedia studio, recording laboratory, simultaneous interpretation laboratory and other media and foreign language teaching laboratories. The two universities had detailed discussions on joint training and academic exchanges in the field of communication (international program) and reached a consensus.
Northumbria University has been engaged in international exchange and cooperation with BCU since 2013, and has conducted teacher exchanges, joint teaching, and media workshops with BCU over the years. It is reported that students majoring in Communication and related fields in the School of International Culture and Communication will participate in a documentary workshop themed Sino-British Urban Cultural Communication at Northumbria University in July this year to expand their international horizons and comprehensively enhance their cross-cultural communication skills.
