The delegation from Université Toulouse II, France visited BCU

On June 6th, a delegation of three representatives from the Université Toulouse II, France, led by Mr. Charles Delierre, visited BCU. They were received by Dr.Zhang Xinyuan, Deputy Director of the School of International Culture and Communication, Mr.Ouyang Muyi, Director of French Department, and Ms.Ju Wenjun, French Language Teacher.

During the exchange, both sides introduced the basic situation of their respective universities, the current status of international cooperation, and the expected cooperation models. Subsequently, they had in-depth discussions about the cooperation project agreement between the Humanities and Social Sciences College of Université Toulouse II and the French Department of BCU, and negotiated the participation of the French Department in Université Toulouse II’s summer term courses.

Université Toulouse II was established in 1229 and is one of the oldest universities in France. It gained a prestigious reputation during the Renaissance period in the sixteenth century due to the activity of humanist scholars and is particularly strong in the fields of literature, social sciences, and humanities. The university has a long tradition of humanism and an open educational philosophy.
