April 11th, Head of International Affairs, Mr. Don Sirrimanne and his colleagues from Unitec visited BCU for further discussion on the international collaborations. Deputy Director of International Affairs Office and Deputy Director of International Culture and Communications attended the meeting.
During the meeting, both sides made a brief introduction of its university, current international collaborations and expected mode of collaboration. Except the existed collaboration on Architecture, they also discussed the interests in Accounting major.
Founded in 1976, Unitec Institute of Technology is now part of newly merged New Zealand Institute of Skills and Technology (NZIST). Unitec is also the member of UNESCO International Association of Universities, and Architecture is always its advantage discipline, which had run for many years and with good teaching experiences. Architecture major is also recognized by CAA (Commonwealth Association of Architects). Accounting is also with high quality in teaching and also the teaching curriculum is connected with the CPA (Certified Public Accountant), which will provide support for student future employment.
