In order to enhance students’ interest of English learning, improve their oral communication skills, and create good atmosphere for our students to learn English, the International Affairs Office organized a series of English learning activities. On March 14th, the office invited Johann Marchart, a foreign teacher from German, to hold an online session of Learn more about German and Germany. More than 1100 students from different departments took part in.

Johann got his master degree of Arts from University of Passau. Now he is the associate professor in School of International Culture and Communication of BCU, with more 20 years’ working experience. This workshop is titled Learn more about German and Germany, which includes German food, architecture, tourism, Germany, as well the deep friendship between China and Germany. At the end of this workshop, Johann explained the questions students put forward in details.

It is reported that the International Office will carry out more English Salon activities this semester, providing more opportunities for students to improve their English level.
