The teachers and students of School of Performing Arts were shortlisted for the 9th Beijing International Standard Dance Competition and won awards

Recently, teachers and students of the Dance Performance (Sports Dance and Education) of the School of Performing Arts from BCU won more than 20 awards, including outstanding instructor awards, in the finals of the 9th Beijing International Standard Dance Competition.

In this competition, our teachers and students won two championships and two last placed winners in the highest category of modern dance professional group, as well as two runners-up in the Latin dance professional group. Mr. Fu Yinxuan, student of Class 2020, and Ms. Wang Yixuan, student of Class 2021, won two third places in the 21-year-old Latin dance in the professional college category. And Ms. Wang Siyao and Mr. Jia Haozhe, students of Class 2020, won two runners-up in the 18-year-old modern dance in the professional college category.

The competition was hosted by Beijing Federation of Literary and Art Circles, organized by the China Dancers Association and the Organization and Liaison Department of Beijing Federation of Literary and Art Circles, assisted with Dance Association in each district. The total number of more than 3,000 participated in. The competition was officially launched in July, and it lasted four months. Pro. Shi Qing, Director of Dance Performance (Dancesport and Education) of the School of Performance Arts, was selected by the Competition Committee to serve as the judge and guest of the competition. Ms. Qiu Jieyi and Mr. Chen Shuai served as leading teachers, guiding 8 teachers and students to participate in the competition.
