On June 16th, inaugural meeting of Digital Twin and Future City Committee of Chinese Society for Urban Studies (CSUS), as well as Digital Twin Helping City Sustainable Development Summit was launched in Beijing, sponsored by the Digital Twin and Future City Committee of CSUS, and co-organized by Aerospace Intelligent Science and Technology Research Institute Co., LTD., and Beijing Key Laboratory of Megaregions Sustainable Development Simulation. Professor Wu Chunqi, President of BCU Zhongcheng Think Tank (Urbanization Research Institute), was appointed as a member of the Digital Twin and Future City Committee and attended the meeting.
Qiu Baoxing, academician of Chinese Science Center of International Eurasian Academy of Sciences, and Wu Zhiqiang, academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering respectively addressed the inaugural meeting of Digital Twin and Future City Committee. Academician Qiu Baoxing and Academician Tan Jianrong of the Chinese Academy of Engineering respectively delivered keynote speeches on "Digital Twin City and Its Application" and "Digital Twin and Digital Transformation" at the meeting. Their strategic perspectives attracted much attention. They discussed the key issues such as applying twin city concept, improving the city information model platform and operation management service platform, promoting the construction of city data brain, promoting city upgrading and development and modern governance, etc.
Many domestic academic and industrial elites on digital twin and future city research were invited to the summit. From metaverse development, smart city construction, future city design and other aspects, they discussed digital twin theoretical method, technology platform, management system and standards for the future city sustainable development, to provide strong support for achieving high quality city development and social economic digital transformation and upgrading.
BCU Zhongcheng Think Tank team continues to carry out application-oriented scientific research, constantly absorbing the advantages of cutting-edge majors on previous basis, and opening up new exploration. The construction of new think tanks and key laboratories are all the key directions of its future exploration. Based on this summit, the Zhongcheng Think Tank will continue to expand development and carry out deeper cooperation with the Digital Twin and the Future City Committee in the future.
