On November 30, the International Affairs Office held the first “the King of Words” Challenge Cup Competition online. A total of 60 students took part in, with more than 500 audiences from different departments watching this game.
The competition words involve various topics, in term of environment, work, life, study, astronomy and other topics, which are closely related to our life. Beside, we also set Buzz-In Round for audience, with the topics centered Winter Olympics. After fierce competition, three students won the award. They are from School of International Culture and Communication , School of Arts as well as School of Urban Construction separately.
At the end of the game, we invited two students to share their learning experience. "I stick to learning vocabulary everyday. I believe repeated learning could deepen my memory” , “I like our English learning camps very much. It helps me to build good learning habits”.
It is reported that the International Affairs Office will hold Oral English Corner in December, providing more opportunities for students to improve their English proficiency.
