Beijing City University Achieves Excellent Results in the 8th "Beautiful Encounters with China" Essay and Short Video Contest for International Students

In April, BCU achieved multiple awards in the 8th "Beautiful Encounters with China" essay and short video contest for international students, hosted by the Chinese Service Center for Scholarly Exchange (CSCSE), Ministry of Education. The aim of this contest is to showcase the study and living experiences of international students in China, as well as their understanding and insights into Chinese culture.

In this contest, BCU was honored with the "Outstanding Organization Award". Wang Lijian from the International Affairs Office received the title of "Outstanding Instructor". Moreover, works by international students Claudia Gabriela España Alzaga, along with Chinese students You Meng and Xing Ruicong majoring in Spanish, won the Third Prize in the short video category. Additionally, entries by international students Andrea Fernanda Reyes Lechuga, Cortés García Kevin Elihel, IÑIGO ZURITA GONZÁLEZ, Rubens Alejandro Barros Sanchez, and Yu Manyi, a student majoring in broadcasting and directing, were awarded the Excellence Prize in the short video category.


The award-winning works vividly present true stories of international students in China, fully reflecting the BCUs support for international cultural exchanges and its emphasis on education for international students. BCU will continue to deepen international education, strengthen exchanges between Chinese and international students, promote academic innovation and personal growth in a multicultural context, and cultivate outstanding talents with a global perspective and cross-cultural communication skills.
