On March 21st, the Chinese Director of Confucius Institute at the University of Guadalajara, Prof. Wei Shuhua, was invited to participate in the International Symposium on Chinese Language Education in Peru and gave a speech on the topic of "To Construct a Multiple Institutional System and Improve the Effectiveness of Teaching Organizations--Taking the High School Chinese Language Program of the Confucius Institute at the University of Guadalajara as an Example".

Wei Shuhua introduced the history of the Confucius Institute at the University of Guadalajara to the experts present, and particularly explained the high school Chinese language program of the Confucius Institute. Taking improving the effectiveness of teaching organization as the starting point, she proposed that the system should be established from three aspects: Sino-foreign cooperation, teacher management and curriculum construction. Combined with the implementation of the high school Chinese language program of Confucius Institute, she elaborated the integration and interdependence of these three aspects, and explored the path to improve the effectiveness of Chinese teaching in high schools. Her speech was warmly received by the guests.

The symposium aims to provide a platform for practical experience sharing in Chinese language education as well as the chance for joint reflection on the challenges and opportunities in the field of international Chinese language teaching in Latin America, and to jointly promote the development of Chinese language education in this region.
