In golden autumn, San Marino Confucius Institute was invited by the local middle school to bring Chinese freehand brushwork painting(Xieyi Painting) into the class, letting local students know more about brush, ink, paper, ink stone, Chinese painting pigments and other painting tools. Different from western’s painting, the workshop also gives the students a chance to appreciate the unique charm of traditional Chinese aesthetics by guiding them to know the common sense of traditional Chinese painting.
In the workshop, the students not only painted the beautiful scenery of the persimmon harvests, learnt to write their Chinese names, but also expressed the blessings to China through their paintings. At the same time, they also experienced the important values in Chinese culture, which is being down-to-earth and doing things steadfastly.
