"Across the Mountains and Seas, Gather in Beijing City University" Online Summer Camp
Since July 20th, Beijing City University held an one-week online summer camp with the theme of “Across the Mountains and Seas, Gather in Beijing City University". A total of nearly 20 students from Mexico and other countries participated in this program. The age span of the participants ranges from 17 to 70 years old, covering not only university students, but also people of all ages and professional backgrounds. The activities have been appreciated by the participants, laying a solid foundation for the later construction of Guadalajara University Confucius Institute. This was also the first time that BCU carried out online summer camp.
TAICHI
Tai Chi, or Taijiquan in Chinese, is an outstanding gem of traditional Chinese culture that is valuable in promoting health, developing combat and self-defence skills, and improving concentration and overall well-being.

The folk song Jasmine Flower (Molihua) was composed during the Qing dynasty (AD 1616-1912) and was one of the first Chinese songs to become popular abroad.The cultural value and popularity of Jasmine Flower makes it a symbol to showcase oriental charms on the world stage.
CHINESE ARCHITECTURE LECTURE
The art of architecture has a long history in China. Different regions have various architectural artistic styles, but the layout, space, structure, building materials and decorative arts of traditional buildings have common characteristics, which are different from the West and have received a worldwide reputation.
CHINESE PAPER CUTTING
Chinese paper cutting, called jianzhi, dates back at least a millennium and a half. In 2006, it was inscribed onto the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage List, putting it under government protection.
QUIZ ON CHINESE CULTURE
QUIZ on Chinese Culture is to help students have a general understandings in Chinese culture in a wide range. The best participants have received certificates issued by BCU.
At the end, participants said that they had gained a deeper understanding of Chinese culture, and they really gained a lot.
