On May 29th, the 2024 Annual Corporate-University Cooperation Forum of School of Information Technology (SIT) was held at the conference center of the Shunyi campus. Representatives from nearly 20 enterprises and institutions, including the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd., Beijing Automotive Group, Yanjing Brewery, Zhongzhou Xinqiao Technology, and Beijing Chehejia Information Technology Co., Ltd., participated in the event. The leaders of SIT, directors of its teaching and research departments, and key faculty members were also present. The forum was chaired by Zhang Mingchun, the Party branch secretary of SIT.
During the forum, Wang Hui, Director of SIT, introduced the School’s basic situation, expressed gratitude to the cooperating enterprises for their long-term support in talent cultivation, students’ internships and employment, and emphasized the School’s high regard for cooperation with industry leader enterprises. She expressed the hope that both sides would adhere to the principle of "student-centered, integrating enterprises with vocational schools and universities, and mutual development" and explore more extensive and profound cooperation in areas such as curriculum development, internship and training base construction, and building a system of "industry + talent + research."
Representatives from each enterprise introduced their respective situations and provided updates on the internship and employment status of graduates from SIT. They also offered ideas and suggestions for deepening corporate-university cooperation.
Following this, a signing ceremony was held where Wang Hui, representing School of Information Technology, signed cooperation agreements with representatives of new internship and training bases. Both sides committed to strengthening close cooperation, exploring new paths for integrating enterprise and university, promoting high-quality educational development, and ensuring effective alignment between educational supply and industrial demand.
