On November 13th, a group of 54 people, including Vice President Buffières, representatives of teachers and students from Jean-Lurçat College in Paris, France, our partner institution, visited BCU. On the morning of that day, teachers and students in French major of School of International Culture and Communication (SICC) held a reception ceremony for the French teachers and students. Prof. Zhang Xinyuan, Deputy Director of SICC, and Dr. Ouyang Muyi, Head of French Department, attended the reception ceremony, and Liu Keyi and Cai Ruiying, student members of the Translation Studio and French major in grade 2021, were the on-site interpreters.

On behalf of BCU, Prof. Zhang Xinyuan welcomed the French teachers and students and introduced the international exchanges and cooperation of SICC, as well as the cooperation among industries, universities and research institutes. Afterwards, Prof. Zhang Xinyuan gave a micro-lecture on "The Current Development of China's Online Media Broadcasting" for French teachers and students, introducing the new changes of China's online economy development. Prof. Buffières, Vice-President of Jean-Lurçat College, made a speech, expressing his gratitude to BCU for its warm reception and looking forward to further in-depth cooperation between the two universities.


After the welcome ceremony, accompanied by the teachers and students in French major, the French teachers and students visited the special classrooms and practice teaching centers of the SICC and School of Biomedicine in Hangtiancheng Campus in groups, and the students of the two universities carried out various interactive activities.


In the afternoon of the same day, Prof. Ye Yingfang, Vice Chair of University Council, Prof. Li Jiayi, Director of SICC, Prof. Zhang Xinyuan, as well as relevant teachers from French major and International Affairs Office held in-depth consultations with teachers from the Jean-Lurçat College on the content of the future cooperation between the two universities, and reached a consensus on the intentions of the cooperation on the International School-Enterprise Challenging Competition in 2024, the exchange of teachers from both sides to visit each other for lectures and the exchange of students on the medium and long term, and other cooperation intentions.

Students from Jean-Lurçat College and BCU French majors had a group activity and Q&A research. During the research process, students from both sides had a warm discussion. In March next year, our students will go to France to participate in the International School-Enterprise Challenging Competition on the basis of this research.


Jean-Lurçat College in Paris, France signed a cooperation agreement with BCU in 2015. The in-depth cooperation between the two universities promotes diversified interactions in teaching and writes a new chapter in the internationalization of the two universities.
