Animation (Japanese International Class) of School of International Culture and Communication jointly teaching with Japanese college

In mid November, Animation (Japanese International Class) of School of International Culture and Communication and Kyoto College of Graduate Studies for Informatics (KCGSI) delivered three joint teaching courses including The Animation Image Design, The Original Rules of Animation Movement and The Animation Director. Before the lectures, the professors from Japan communicated with BCU animation teachers Ms. Li Zhuo and Ms. Ru Hui about the teaching objectives, teaching content and teaching methods.


On 14th November, Professor Nomura from KCGSI and Ms. LI Zhuo from BCU jointly delivered the first online lecture for students of 2022 Animation (Japanese International Class). Ms. Li Zhuo explained the breakdown of coherent movement in the animated picture, the movement principle and the control of the action rhythm, and Professor Nomura started from the principle of animation movement and the character movement, making the students gradually master the principle and drawing techniques of how animation image moving, and guided the students to conduct image design training.


On 15th November , BCU and Kyoto College held the second lecture of the online joint teaching course. Ms. Li Zhuo taught the dynamic and perspective of characters, and the image design methods of animals, characters and irregular image design methods. Professor Obata of KCGSI started with the specific image cases and analyzed the design ideas and expression techniques of characters characteristics, age, occupation and other elements in the process of character design.


On 16th November, Professor Obata and Ms. Li Zhuo held the third joint lecture. Both of them taught the basic specifications of lens picture design and the basic knowledge, principles and methods of the design of each component, and guided the students to carry out case study.


Sino-Japanese joint teaching is a characteristic program of animation (Japanese International class) in international cooperation. This joint course will help promote the internationalization of professional education, broaden students vision and thinking, and stimulate students' creativity and professional interest.
